hypnotherapy

It is time to unlock the best version of yourself, for the better.

what is hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is a therapeutic technique that uses guided relaxation, focused attention, and deep concentration to achieve a heightened state of awareness, known as a trance. In this state, the mind becomes more open to positive suggestions, allowing individuals to address subconscious blocks, fears, and limiting beliefs.

For those struggling with emotional trauma, anxiety, or self-doubt, hypnotherapy can help break through barriers by accessing underlying issues that traditional therapies may miss.

Rewiring negative thought patterns empowers individuals to experience emotional freedom, release past trauma, and develop healthier coping mechanisms for lasting mental and emotional well-being.

What To Expect

initial chat

When you contact me via the contact form, I will contact you within 24-48hrs. We will have a chat for around 30 minutes to discuss your concerns and see whether we are a good fit for one another.

Consultation

Once we have had the initial chat, we will have our first session (consultation) where we will embark on the process of working together therapeutically. Think of this as a pilot test to see where your reasons for therapy lie, what problems you need solving, and experience what it’s like to work with me in session.

Weekly Sessions

Your weekly session(s) will be scheduled at the same time slot each week and are 50 minutes in duration. Hypnotherapy is typically a short-term to medium-term therapy, so at this stage, I do not offer therapy of more than 6-10 sessions.

FEE

30-Minute Consult: Free
Individual Session: From £90

Trauma Informed Approach

Taking a trauma-informed approach means I understand “mental health”, “mental health issues”, “disorders” and “illnesses” as normal human variations (some of which may be considered less socioculturally acceptable than others) and/or manifestations of distress in response to circumstances and experiences which may be happening now, or may have happened in the past.  Suffering is terrible, and it is normal. Neither suffering, nor variation from socioculturally accepted norms are sicknesses, nor are they results of biological or genetic abnormalities.

If you have a mental health diagnosis or use medication to support your well-being, I’m interested in what these things mean to you, and how they impact you.  My focus will be on you, not your diagnosis.

Typically, we think of trauma as the result of big, catastrophic experiences.  Any distressing experience we haven’t fully processed – one-off or ongoing – might result in trauma.  These experiences can ‘stick around’ in our systems and affect us physically, emotionally, and psychologically: sometimes in ways that are obvious to us, sometimes in ways we don’t fully realise.  That’s what trauma is.

Therapy offers an opportunity to work things out, make sense of ourselves and meaning from our experiences, discover ways of managing challenges that don’t cause more problems than they solve, and grow and heal through human connection.
